Wine trends, 2022

The Wine Trade Monitor (in its ninth year) presents a study conducted with over 1000 industry operators that offers an overview of global trends and commercial prospects for wine for the next two years.

- There is optimism for the wine trade. France, Italy and Spain are doing well , and are also making a name for themselves in China and Japan. Portuguese wines are growing, while interest in Australian ones seems to be waning.

- If France always shines in terms of image, Italy's wine industry is increasing its reputation on the international scene, especially among young people.

News on PIWI vines

From January, green light for PIWI resistant vines also in Designations of Origin.
