TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are in Sannio, one of the areas of Campania historically most suitable for the cultivation of vines. It is located in the north-eastern area of the region, in the province of Benevento. Vine cultivation shapes the entire landscape of the Telesina valley, crossed along its length by the Calore river. Despite the proximity of the sea, the climate is cool and continental with notable temperature variations between day and night.

The wind blows constantly, mainly from the west or east, while the cold currents coming from the north are held back by the Matese mountains. The side of the valley rises more gently towards the massif and in an even more harsh and steep way towards Taburno.

The Solopaca vineyards are located in a particular position, they are exposed to the north-east and north-west at an altitude of approximately 200 metres; the sun arrives in the late morning, and there is a good temperature range.
The land is predominantly natural clayey-limestone , with the presence of silica and sandstone; in the flat part the soils are mainly of alluvial origin, while going up towards the slopes of the mountains, the presence of skeleton and white calcareous stones increases. However, there is no shortage of areas in which the signs of primordial volcanic activity are evident with outcrops of tuff banks, such as in the Vitulanese, Telesina and Galdina areas.

CELLAR

The Antica Masseria Venditti is a family-run farm, whose structure, with its own press, dates back to the sixteenth century.
The wines produced come from agriculture biological certified and they find a place among the best in Campania oenology also because the Vendittis have a long history behind them: one generation after another, they have always carefully cultivated their own vines, vinified their own grapes and let the wines refine in their own cellar. own products, with diligence, passion, and the desire to continually improve quality.
With the passage of time, they have been able to interpret modernity by combining tradition and the " humanity " of ancient knowledge with rationality date of modern techniques and contemporary knowledge.
