👁 a beautiful straw yellow with greenish reflections;

👃🏻 to the nose it expresses an intense and characteristic fruity bouquet, with aromas of fresh fruit (apple, citrus);

👄 on the palate it is savory, fresh and full-bodied. The taste is rich, the marked acidity balanced by the alcohol content for a very balanced wine.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Very versatile wine with freshness and flavor, which is why it goes well with fresh cheeses, first courses and grilled fish, legume soups. Perfect with fried food.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

The vineyard is exposed to the South-East, and located at an altitude of 400-450 meters above sea level, the vineyard partly with old plants, partly with new ones. A wine produced entirely with our own Verdicchio grapes. The grapes grow on medium-textured soils tending to loamy and sandy. Manual harvest in early October. White vinification with cleaning of the must and fermentation at a controlled temperature. 4 months of aging in concrete, 1 in bottle.

In the province of Matelica, viticulture occupies an important position: the wines produced in the province are known for their originality and quality. We are at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea levelThe denominations of the region are Esino DOC, Verdicchio di Matelica DOC Ancona, Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG, Colli Maceratesi DOC Macerata, Marche IGT Ancona, Rosso Piceno DOC.

The continental climate, characterized by strong temperature variations, together with the high altitude and a soil rich in minerals are the ingredients for wines such as Verdicchio di Matelica.

WINERY

The company was founded in the 1950s by Gino Gagliardi. We are on the hills of Matelica, in the province of Macerata. The winery has always represented a historic brand in Matelica, especially for Verdicchio.This is the first bottling company in the province; one of the first to have produced Verdicchio with the D.O.C.brand, in the Marche region, in 1967; as well as the first to obtain the D.O.C.G. for the Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva, in 2009.Today the winemaking tradition continues with Umberto and Lara, the founder's sons.Umberto is an enotechnician, he deals with the production and is president of the Verdicchio Matelica Producers Committee; Lara is engaged in administration and in the point of sale.
