TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are in Valpolicella, in the province of Verona between hills and valleys north of the city of Verona, in Veneto. It extends from the Adige river valley on its west side to the volcanic territories of the Soave production area to the east. Valpolicella is an area with a controlled designation of origin (DOC - DOCG) and includes 3 sub-areas: Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena, Estesa. The landscape is extremely rich thanks to the presence of a morphologically varied territory which can be divided into three macro-areas: the limestone mountainous area , formed by the Lessini Mountains; the hilly area , which hosts a large part of the vineyard area and vineyards; the valley bottom area .

Made up of valleys that develop in a north-south direction, Valpolicella ideally presents itself as a fan of valleys that start from Verona. The landscape is predominantly hilly, with gentle slopes and watersheds at low altitudes, and is dominated almost everywhere by vineyards, interspersed with olive and cherry trees.

The geological and climatic characteristics of the territory, unique and varied, are the basis of the great particularity and typicality of its wines .

CELLAR

The Marchio Wines project is young, having been started in 2018, with the first production of Amarone and Ripasso, to which Valpolicella was later added: labels made from grapes selected among those of some of the best in the area, from vineyards located in the Valpolicella DOC area.

The annual production is contained and taken care of in detail, and stands at around 85,000 bottles.
