TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are in Irpinia, characterized by a heterogeneous landscape variety, designed by mountains, hills, valleys and plateaus. The territory has a strong and unique identity in the world due to the peculiarities of the subsoil and the climatic conditions. Following the powerful eruption of Vesuvius which occurred several thousand years ago, pyroclastic materials transported by strong winds settled on the territory of Irpinia, giving rise to a thick layer of volcanic materials, which consolidated over the centuries.
Today, the terroir dell'Irpinia presents a large wealth of micronutrients minerals . More superficial layers are formed by stratified limestones, while the hills and valleys are made up of deposits of arenaceous and clayey materials. The soils above all show a well-balanced texture, clay-free, with frequent stonyness. The Mediterranean climate gives the area cold, humid winters and hot summers, with strong temperature variations between day and night.
The balance between climate, vine and soil is perfect. A balance that has become increasingly harmonious over the centuries, giving rise to wines with excellent characteristics, which are characterized by aromatic complexity, a velvety, full and elegant taste, intense and delicate aromas.

CELLAR

The company is located in Montemiletto, in the province of Avellino.

The philosophy of the estate is based on the productive choice to use: it makes the most of the grapes from its vineyards starting from the certainty that they are planted on exceptionally suitable soil and in the belief that quality is born first and foremost in the vineyard.

They work in compliance with the "terroir", understood as the indissoluble interaction between pedoclimatic factors, planted vines, human intervention through updated cultivation systems, modern winemaking techniques and traditional aging methods in the cellar, represents the only viable path to strive for maximum quality.

The line of wines is entirely built around the native and regional Irpinia vines, whose characteristics are above all freshness, body and aromas. The careful choice of land suitable for position, exposure, altitude, soil composition and slope allows the winery to obtain excellent quality grapes, vinified in purity in order to express the characteristics that make them unique and from them to produce wines animated by the desire to excite.
