NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 transparent and light ruby red;

👃🏻 the nose is delicate, very fruity, with the characteristic hints of red fruits (raspberries) and delicate spicy and herbaceous notes;

👄 on the palate it is fresh, rich and perfectly balanced between softness and hardness. Very elegant and velvety.

FOOD PAIRINGS

It loves dishes with freshness and medium structure, especially fish and white meat main courses. Try it also in combination with cheese.

YOU'LL LOVE IT FOR...

its elegance.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Eltville am Rhein, in the Rheingau area, a very important area for the production of wine, located west of Frankfurt where the soils are rich in clays, quartzite, marls: this is the cradle of riesling, a vine that occupies the 80% of the vineyards, which gives great qualitative results thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and the beneficial effects of the Rhine. The wines of the area express aromas of fruit and flowers, round and with good body, balanced in their well-balanced acidity.

The second most important grape of the region is instead a red berried one, the spätburgunder, from which spicy wines and the final hint of bitter almond are born.

WINERY

The Kloster Eberbach winery is located in Rheingau. On this terroir the vines grow for wines produced in a sustainable and careful way, always with the aim of the best quality.The history of the Kloster Eberbach winery dates back to the history of the cultural monument itself, which is an ancient monastery: viticulture was one of the main occupations of the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century. What was originally intended for the monks' use soon develops into a coveted commodity that ensures the monastery's future and prosperity.

Today the cultivation of vines and the production of wine is all focused on keeping the vines in the healthiest way possible, on the biological control of parasites and the non-use of insecticides. Great attention is paid to the soil and to the management of the steep slopes, populated by an extraordinary biodiversity.

The winery produces excellent wines and continuously innovates, also thanks to numerous projects with the University of Geisenheim, whose goal is to protect the centuries-old cultural landscape and offer research results to all winemakers in Germany.
