WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

the drikability.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

The winery is located in Veneto, in the Euganean Hills. In the region, the presence of mountain ranges and the vast portion of the plain offers considerable temperature variations between summer and winter, mitigated near Lake Garda and in the coastal area. Veneto is the first region of Italy for wine production; it is also very rich in native vines, including Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave, white grape Prosecco (or Glera), Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Raboso and the semi-unknown Turkish black grape variety. Among the non-native vines, some have found the perfect terroir in the Euganean Hills: among these, merlot and cabernet sauvignon.

From the point of view of the soils, the Veneto has territories characterized by alluvial and above all volcanic soils, which allows the production of wines of numerous types, from light and drinkable ones, to full-bodied and important wines.

Specifically the wines of the Euganean Hills, these were well known since ancient times, mentioned by Martial in the first century after Christ, who writes of the "Euganean districts with painted bumps and quilted with vines". Currently there are about 2500 hectares of vineyards registered in the Colli Euganei DOC denomination.

WINERY

In Torreglia, in the gentle hills of volcanic origin of the Euganean Hills, Quota 101 rises, like the meters above sea level on which the cellar is located. The winery, literally immersed in nature, is committed to respecting the environment and biodiversity, for which the company has received the "Biodiversity Friend" certification from the Ministry of Agricultural Policies.

Roberto Gardina in 2011 chose to buy an old farm, with vineyards over thirty years old, committing himself to the redevelopment of the old vineyards and the recovery of the ancient cellar.

Today the winery cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards, for about 40 thousand bottles a year. The vineyards are certified organic and mainly produce native grapes such as Serprino, Glera, Tai, Incrocio Manzoni, Garganega and Moscato.
