NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 Pale pink, with fine and persistent perlage;

👃🏻 the nose expresses delicate fruity scents (raspberry, cherries, hazelnut) and yeasty sensations;

👄 in the mouth it is mineral, fine, of excellent intensity and persistence and has a savory finish typical of the volcanic territory, with beautiful fruity returns. A wine with a great taste impact.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATION

A volcanic sparkling wine, which requires equally elegant and characterful dishes. It pairs divinely especially with raw fish, but is also excellent with baked or grilled fish, refined fried foods, cheeses, white meats.

REFINEMENT

Murgo icon. Manual harvest of the grapes, with careful selection. Soft pressing; the must is then cooled and decanted in insulated tanks to ensure maximum purity and freshness. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for 20 days; second fermentation in the bottle according to the Classic Method and on its own yeasts for about 6 years, with manual remouage.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR..

his character.

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

Etna is a wine region that offers unique wines on the world scene.
Thousands of years of powerful eruptions, complex transformations, and volcanic events that are still active today, have made the soil that hosts the vine the unifying product of that exclusive and unattainable complexity that becomes the founding heritage of a wine that is increasingly famous throughout the world . In the Etna area there are substantial microclimatic differences between one area of the volcano and another, due to the particular position of Etna and its morphology. The territory, the microclimate , the volcanic earth rich in minerals , together with the peculiarity of the native vines, favor the production of unique wines.
Etna wine, in fact, was the first Sicilian table wine to obtain the recognition of the Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC).

CELLAR

Etna: a great territory of great wines, under the eye of the storm due to the explosion of its wine excellences on the national and international markets. The company is located in Sicily, a stone's throw from the sea, but in reality we are in the mountains above a volcano, 800 meters above sea level.
All these elements drive the palate crazy and the same emotion is communicated by the centenary vineyards that climb up to the slopes of the volcano. Murgo has always believed in the sparkling wine potential of this great terroir ! In 1981, Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo decided to transform the family land holdings into modern agricultural businesses and in the following years his sons and brothers also joined in this venture. In 1982 the first Etna Rosso was bottled and in 1990 the first Classic Method Murgo Brut sparkling wine. Murgo is today the point of reference for the classic methods of the entire area, but also a stylistic expression capable of transcending regional borders.
