👁 Light ruby ​​red with an intense tone;

👃🏻 sensations of blackcurrant, cherry, rose and spices (licorice, black pepper);

👄 in the mouth it is elegant and complex, mineral, with subtle returns of red fruit and wild raspberry. The acidity is balanced with the structure. Silky tannin pleasantly integrated by a persistent aftertaste where pleasant and subtle notes of spices and leather predominate.

In the Etna area there are substantial microclimatic differences between one area of ​​the volcano and another, due to the particular position of Etna and its morphology. The territory, the microclimate , the volcanic land  rich in minerals , together with the peculiarities of the vines native , favor the production of wines unique .

Etna wine, in fact, was the first Sicilian table wine to obtain the recognition of Name  Of Controlled Origin  (DOC).

CELLAR

Etna: a great territory of great wines, under the eye of the storm due to the explosion of its wine excellences on the national and international markets. The company is located in Sicily, a stone's throw from the sea, but in reality we are in the mountains above a volcano, 800 meters above sea level.

All these elements drive the palate crazy and the same emotion is communicated by the centenary vineyards that climb up to the slopes of the volcano. Murgo has always believed in potential sparkling wine  of this great one terroir ! In 1981, Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo decided to transform the family land holdings into modern agricultural businesses and in the following years his sons and brothers also joined in this venture. In 1982 the first Etna Rosso was bottled and in 1990 the first Classic Method Murgo Brut sparkling wine. Murgo is today the point of reference for the classic methods of the entire area, but also a stylistic expression capable of transcending regional borders.
