NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 characterised by a bright straw yellow colour;

👃🏻 on the nose, the typical aromas of yellow fruits are joined by a hint of thyme, lending an unusual personality to this wine;

👄 on the palate, it stands out for its freshness and pleasantness, with a structured body and good flavour;

FOOD PAIRINGS

Petit Almodì is an atypical white wine. Indeed, thanks to its olfactory and gustatory intensity, it can be paired very well with meats, especially with Spanish cooking.
From sausages to cured meats, and of course with cheeses.

REFINEMENT

The influence of the arabic pottery, passing through Spanish lands, has left a rich and varied heritage: lead, silver and copper oxides have adorned designs inspired by flora and fauna on vases, jars and tiles for centuries.

The soils are calcareous, poor in organic matter, the grapes are harvested by hand and after vinification in steel, the wine is matured for one year in the bottle.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its intensity and fruity notes.

ORIGINS

TERROIR

Few people think that Catalunya is a great wine region, but thanks to its ideal climate for growing vines and its sandy soil, it is able to imprint its mediterranean soul on wines of great interest. It produces fresh, light, very versatile wines, as well as structured reds with great ageing potential, which over time will yield extraordinary and growing results for the region.

WINERY

Altavins was founded in 2001 and since then the company has continued to grow and achieve recognition in the wine world. The philosophy is simple: identity, honesty, and mediterranean spirit. The care in working with the grapes is maximum in order to catch all their virtues with minimum intervention, exploiting their full potential.

 The objective is simple: to achieve excellence in the wines and to return the essence of this terroir. The surrounding land is full of vines, located between 350 and 550 metres above sea level. The vineyard is characterised by a dry Mediterranean climate with low rainfall, between 350 and 450 mm/year, plenty of sunshine and two dominant winds: El Cerç, which comes from the interior, and El Garbí or sea wind, which comes from the coast.
