👁 a nice soft pink;

👃🏻 the nose expresses a fruity bouquet, with notes of small red fruits;

👄 on the palate it's fresh and the pleasant fruity sensation felt on the nose returns. Elegant and drinkable.


PAIRINGS

A drinkable rosé, which embodies the Salento terroir. It accompanies the whole meal perfectly, but to be tried in a territorial key with the typical frisa.


WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

From the vineyard in the Carmiano countryside (medium texture), manual harvest in the second ten days of September. Soft pressing, vinification in white, with racking after a few hours of maceration on the skins, to give a delicate pink hue to the wine, fermentation at controlled temperature, aging in steel for 4 months, 4 months in the bottle.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Salento, in the southernmost area of Puglia. The ancient Terra d'Otranto, famous for its millenary history closely linked to the Mediterranean Sea from which it is bathed. Salento is one of the regions in Italy where the winemaking tradition has distant roots, since quality wine has been produced here for 3000 years. The warm climate and the diversity of soils are ideal places for the cultivation of vines. The main grape varieties are: Negroamaro and Primitivo. Negroamaro is a full-bodied red wine with a full structure and a bright colour. On the nose it has a strong but at the same time fruity aroma, with a slightly bitter and round taste. These characteristics are conferred by the vine: Negroamaro has rather large berries, very dark in color and with a sweet and juicy pulp. The harvest is quite late and the aging in the bottle is fast (from 6 to 12 months). The past used for the production of numerous wines, in recent years there is a growing trend towards its vinification in purity, increasingly appreciated for its elegance.


WINERY

Petrelli is a winery that was founded in 1984 and produces wines in Salento, halfway between the two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic; here Giovanni Petrelli, son of the founder and specialized in Agricultural Sciences and Oenology, exercises the passion of winemaker handed down to him by his father.

That of Cantina Petrelli is a story made of passion, dedication, work in the fields, study and continuous updating, of unconditional love for their vines cared for and cared for like children, capable of offering only the best that the land and skilled hands are capable of transform into wines of excellence.

It cultivates and produces the typical varieties of the Salento area, such as negroamaro, primitivo, verdeca or moscato, in the 18 hectares of its own vineyards. Petrelli is located in an old country house, the "Tenuta Fondo della Chiusa", which dates to 1850, suitably modernized to make it an excellent winery.
