NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS
👁 a beautiful pale yellow with greenish reflections, fine and persistent perlage;👃🏻 on the nose it expresses notes of flowers and ripe white fruit, with a marked hint of bread crust;
👄 on the palate it has a refined freshness and the delicate fruity notes confirm its great elegance.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Naturalis is a fresh and elegant wine, capable of matching both light dishes and others with medium fatness. Ideal with shellfish and seafood but also with delicate cured meats.
WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT
Naturalis is the result of a meticulous selection and a harmonious blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir: a prestigious vintage, born only in years of rare excellence. After harvesting and pressing, fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Classic Method (the Champenoise) and then rests in the dark of the La Valle cellars for at least 30 months.
YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...
its fragrance, finesse and freshness.
ORIGIN
TERROIR
The winery is located in Franciacorta, one of the most important areas in the national panorama for wine, in Northern Italy. It overlooks the southern shore of Lake Iseo and extends as far as the city of Brescia. It is a territory of hills covered with vineyards and shaped by small stone villages, crenellated towers, castles, prestigious cellars, ancient palaces and silent monasteries. The expansion and retreat of the glacier actually transported a wealth of debris that enriched the soil in a very diversified way with added minerals, different from those deriving only from rocks present in the soil.
In addition to the soil, the climate also contributes to characterize the different areas of Franciacorta: therefore in the north the influence of the mountain breezes of Val Camonica and Lake Iseo, in the south the warmest plain, in the east the hilly breezes and the strong daily temperature range and to the west still gentle hills and fertile plains.
Franciacorta is the important wine of the area: an elegant and structured sparkling wine, made with the Classic Method which involves the second fermentation in the bottle, for which several years of permanence on the lees are required (18 months for Brut, 24 months for Satèn and Rosè, 30 months for the vintages and 60 for the Reserves).
Considering the different dosage of "liqueur" added after disgorging, starting from the least to the most dosed, we are talking about Pas Dosè, Extra Brut, Brut, Extra Dry, Dry, Demi Sec. Finally, Satèn is a Brut with a pressure of less than 5 atmospheres. Franciacorta is produced with Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes, and recently also with Erbamat, a rediscovered indigenous vine.
WINERY
La Valle is located in Rodengo Saiano, in the heart of Franciacorta, in a beautiful hilly area, particularly suited for viticulture, near a famous 11th century Olivetan abbey, a few kilometers from Lake Iseo and Brescia, in Lombardy. It owes its name to the main land of the company, called La Valle, purchased by the ancestors of the current owners in the distant 1890 and has always been cultivated with vines. The historic vineyards of the company, including "La Valle", "Roccolo", "Bredina", "Tesa", enjoy an extraordinary and unique exposure and microclimate and give special grapes from noble vines: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir; rich in aromas, fragrances and flavors. In 1993 the first 3,000 bottles of vintage were released, some of which are still jealously preserved. In the following years the collaboration of the new generation, the unaltered love for the land and its grapes, and the advice of prestigious winemakers including Jeanne Pierre Valade, have made La Valle a well-appreciated winery of quality and niche Franciacorta.
