NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 of a beautiful bright and intense pale yellow;

👃🏻 the nose shows a great aroma typical of Moscato, with hints of lime, acacia, honey, sage and lemon;

👄 on the palate it is sweet but never cloying, full, pleasantly aromatic, very typical.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Moscato Farfarello is a very versatile wine. It does not have great structure, but a unique freshness and softness. It loves dry pasta and hazelnut cake, but it goes well with desserts in general (avoiding those with chocolate). We recommend it with a cupcake with Chantilly cream. To dare and try n intriguing pairing, it can be accompanied with tasty cold cuts and cheeses.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

The great white grape of Piedmont, in a special guise. From a historic Moscato vineyard, which ages one year longer than usual, produced in very few bottles. From a historic vineyard, where the use of herbicides has been abolished, with low production per hectare and soft pressing. 100% Moscato, produced in very small quantities, bottled late. Produced with great care and extraordinary dedication. In fact, it refines one year longer than usual, so as to enhance the complex evolutionary aromatic part without however penalizing the acid part: a freshness that must always be present in a type of sweet wine from late harvest.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its freshness.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

The winery is located in the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, between Langhe and Monferrato, two unique areas for growing grapes. The soils of the Langhe are composed of sedimentary clay-limestone marls, interspersed with more or less important gray-blue layers of marl, an important characteristic for producing both full-bodied red wines and fresh and fragrant bubbles. The Langhe area is characterized by a temperate continental climate, with the peak of rainfall generally fixed during the month of May. In Monferrato the vineyards almost entirely cover the summits and slopes of the hills, alternating however with small woods, in highly suggestive landscapes. The wide diversity of soils allows for the production of very complex wines, with ample bouquets.
The soils are calcareous-marly, white, light gray or beige in color, rich in calcium carbonate which allow to produce full-bodied wines, rich in color (in the reds), sometimes with a hint of tuff, for ageing; red earths, are deeper and richer, as well as in clay and silt, in iron and magnesium oxides, excellent for producing white wines; sands of Asti, produce excellent red wines characterized by low acidity and fast maturation.

WINERY

The Gallina Giacinto farm covers about 8 hectares in Piedmont, between Langhe and Monferrato, on the beautiful hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, Calosso d’Asti and Costigliole d’Asti. The management is familiar and every aspect is taken care of in detail. The grapes are carefully selected to guarantee their quality, freshness and aromas.
The winery produces few bottles that express undisputed levels of quality and pleasantness. The inimitable Moscato d'Asti DOCG Farfarello is produced from grapes coming from the "cru" with vines over a hundred years old from the farmhouse in Calosso d'Asti; a full-bodied, austere, but at the same time soft, Barbera d'Asti DOCG is able to face long periods of ageing; a Dolcetto d'Alba DOC, a young and fragrant wine; a Langhe DOC Freisa, a lively fruity red.
To this range of wines, they have added a production of other labels, which express undisputed levels of quality and pleasantness such as VinVeira and Estro Recìt (100% Favorita), Estro Millennium (exceptional ageing Barbera), Estro Armonico (Merlot) and Estro Brut (sparkling Favorita).
