WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

100% Garganega di Gambellara, from a half-hectare Monte del Cuca vineyard, facing west and at an altitude of 140 meters above sea level.
After the manual harvest, a soft crushing-destemming takes place, followed by maceration and fermentation. A Garganega that macerates on the skins: this process causes it to lose its classic golden color and turn towards a more orange tone.

TERROIR

L’azienda si trova in Veneto a Gambellara, comune storico per la coltivazione della vite.  Si caratterizza per i terreni di origine vulcanica su cui si coltiva con grande successola garganega. Comprende una DOCG, per il Recioto di Gambellara. La Strada del Recioto comprende i comuni di Gambellara, Montebello Vicentino, Montorso Vicentino e Zermeghedo, nella quale vengono organizzate passeggiate itineranti per scoprire le vigne e l'uva garganega, la varietà del territorio, che produce i vini bianchi, passiti e secchi della DOC.


WINERY

A family of winegrowers and wine producers in the land of Gambellara, between Vicenza and Verona. Menti is a dynamic winery in Montebello Vicentino, which produces volcanic wines from Garganega grapes, including the famous Recioto di Gambellara and Vin Santo, but also boasts the production of olive oil and honey, made with an organic, careful and respectful approach of the environment and the earth. Garganega is the most important indigenous grape in the area and thanks to the sparse bunch and the thick skin it has a good resistance to diseases and is a candidate as one of the best grape varieties for the production of passito. The three types of white wines that are produced in this area are Gambellara (dry wine that boasts the term "Classico" when it comes from the hilly area of ​​more ancient tradition), Gambellara Vin Santo and Gambellara Recioto (the latter are sweet wines obtained from the garganega withering). The winery passionately interprets Garganega in various declinations, with both a classic and modern touch, with the help of technology and innovation, but always elegant and mineral.
