NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 ruby red with amaranth reflections;

👃🏻 the nose is expressed with elegant, typical and delicate hints, including the characteristic floral that recalls the violet violet;

👄 in the mouth it is sapid, with a full flavor, with a bitter note that enriches the finish.

PAIRINGS

A very versatile Marzemino, direct and perfect to accompany simple and tasty dishes. Its intensity also makes it suitable for foods of a certain structure such as polenta and mushrooms, roasts and braised meats, spit-roasted meat.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

From a vineyard cultivated with the typical Trentino pergola, which covers an area of 4 hectares. The grapes are harvested in the first ten days of October, at the perfect degree of ripeness, and are vinified in "red" with 6 days of maceration and frequent pumping over. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (25°C). After racking, the wine completes the malolactic fermentation and ages for 6 months, always in steel.

YOU'LL LOVE IT FOR...

the exuberance.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Trentino, home of renowned Trento DOC sparkling wines, which stands out for elegant wines that express a unique concept of territoriality. The success and uniqueness of the Trento DOC sparkling wine is due precisely to the characteristics of the territory: the combination of climate, different altitudes, soils and Trentino savoir faire make Trento DOC not just a simple sparkling wine, but a highly prized mountain sparkling wine, increasingly recognized and awarded.

The Trentino area, although small, is covered by 10,000 hectares of vines with a percentage of grapes destined for the production of sparkling wine equal to 8% and a total production of 7 million bottles a year. The vines can enjoy different climates: we pass from a mountain microclimate to the milder one of Garda. Factors such as the altitude of the vineyard and the temperature range play an important role in the ripening of the grapes, influencing the organoleptic characteristics of the wines.

The varieties grown for the Trento DOC sparkling wine are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The area of organic vineyards in Trentino is constantly increasing, a natural consequence of the attention and responsibility of sparkling wine producers towards the wholesomeness of the products.

In particular, in the Vallagarina on which the Simoncelli winery is located there are other native red berried wine gems, such as the very rare Enantio or Marzemino, sung by Mozart for its goodness in "The Marriage of Figaro".

WINERY

Armando Simoncelli, owner of the Simoncelli farm is a FIVI winemaker, who has been making wine from the grapes of his own vineyards and bottling with his name on the label since 1977.

The winery is based in Navesel, an ancient port on the Adige river, just southwest of Rovereto, in Vallagarina. With the reclamation of the valley floor and the embankment of the river, this has remained a fertile countryside where the vineyards have found the ideal environment to produce grapes of great value. They cultivate the natives of the area and the international ones who have settled in here as at home and produce, among the reds Cabernet franc, Lagrein, Marzemino, Merlot, Navesel and Schiava gentile; among the whites Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio, as well as the renowned Trento DOC.

The Simoncelli family began cultivating those vineyards over two hundred ago and in the farmhouse that stands in the center of the vineyard - renovated and enlarged in 1985 - the Simoncellis make wine and refine their wines.
