NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 beautiful pale-lemon yellow;

👃🏻 the nose expresses fruity notes (apple, peach and apricot), with a finish that recalls a buttery character;

👄 on the palate it is dry, fresh and elegant. The finish is slightly sapid which makes it very pleasant to drink.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Malvasia Istriana is a light, fresh and drinkable wine for this reason it contrasts well with fresh, light and seasonal dishes. We recommend it to try with shellfish, seafood or even chicken meat. For a vegan pairing, we recommend it with porcini and pumpkin bundles.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

100% Istrian Malvasia, from grapes grown in the Istrian hills. The variety of soils gives great complexity and high quality. It is vinified in steel containers, where it carries out alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. As well as the vinification, the refinement is also carried out in steel.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its complexity and freshness.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

Slovenia is a unique wine region, capable of producing young, fresh, light and drinkable wines, but also great reds that can age over time. The Istrian soil is very versatile, as there are many types such as black earth, red earth, sand, clay and silt which guarantee both versatility in the cultivation of vines (native and international vines) and a balance and completeness in the glass.

WINERY

The winery is very small and is located in southern Slovenia, in Istra. Their wine production is based on 4 different lines. The company is family-run and is managed by the father, Walter, and his son Rock. The production is made from only 2 types of grapes: Malvasia and Moscato. This is really what is called a "boutique" winery. They cultivate just 5 hectares of vineyards in the Sečovlje Valley, most of them planted with old vines, of over 25 years old.
