TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

The Catania area, located in the eastern region of Sicily, is famous for its rich winemaking tradition, characterized by unique landscapes and climatic conditions favorable to the cultivation of vines. Among the most important denominations present in the area, Etna DOC stands out, but also Terre Siciliane IGT.

Native and international vines are grown: Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, used above all for Etna DOC wines, which are known for their complexity and elegance. Other significant vines include Carricante and Catarratto, a white grape.

The grapes grow on differentiated soils, especially of volcanic origin. The volcanic slopes are characterized by soils rich in minerals, giving the wines minerality and complexity. The clayey and calcareous soils present in some areas contribute to giving structure and character to the wines.

CELLAR

The history of Tenuta Tremollito began with a long-awaited dream, which involved an old abandoned farmhouse and a long-forgotten vineyard. Vincenzo and Margherita's intention was to renew and revitalize them.

The company is located approximately 620 meters above sea level, in the city of Vizzini, in the province of Catania. It extends on the slopes of an extinct volcano, which offers a mix of volcanic, clay and limestone soils, creating ideal conditions for obtaining grapes of exceptional quality. Their wine is produced from native Sicilian grapes, grown organically , without chemical treatments and fertilizations. The first harvest was in 2011.

The work of Tenuta Tremollito is a tribute to passion, dedication and the joy of seeing a dream come true. With their wine they express not only the taste of Sicily, but also the history of an ancient farmhouse and a forgotten vineyard, today reawakened to give authentic emotions in every sip.
