NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 purplish red with violet reflections;

👃🏻 on the nose it expresses a beautiful floral bouquet especially of violets, typical of the grape, with intensely fruity evolved accents, of jam of small black and red fruits;

👄 on the palate it's fresh, elegant and structured. Drinking it is easy, but never banal. Very pleasant.

FOOD PAIRINGS

A malbec that expresses the varietal at it's best and pair perfectly with red meat dishes. Ideal for grilled meat, as per the Argentine tradition. It should be opened a few minutes before the service in order to express at its best.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

100% malbec from the company's vineyards, located on alluvial soils. Careful vinification, with controlled fermentation temperatures, 18 days of maceration on the skins and 9 months of maturation in American oak barrels.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its pleasantness ..

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Argentina, in Mendoza, the largest wine growing area in the country.

This area, located about 1000 km west of Buenos Aires, is the center of the Argentinian wine industry and produces 70% of the country's wines.

The climate is hot and dry, with a lack of rainfall. The soils are mostly of alluvial, morainic and volcanic origin, tending to be clayey-silty and endowed with moderate fertility.

The most cultivated vine is undoubtedly Malbec, which gives wines with deep colors, aromas of red fruit, herbaceous and spicy notes and a good tannic structure. Other black grape varieties from the region are cabernet sauvignon, syrah, pinot noir, tempranillo and bonarda. For the white grape varieties, chenin blanc, torrontés, chardonnay and riesling are grown.

THE WINERY

Bodega La Rural was founded by an Italian, Felipe Rutini, at the end of the 19th century. We are in Coquimbito, a rural district in the department of Maipú, in the province of Mendoza. Thanks to a profound technological renewal started in the nineties, and focusing more and more on quality, the winery has gone from being a very small company to a qualitative reference point for the region.
