REFINEMENT

Pure Durella harvested with manual harvest with selection in the vineyard at the end of September, grown on volcanic sedimentation soils, with clay.
The harvested grapes are pressed whole and fermented in steel at a controlled temperature. The sparkling wine base is then assembled in winter, and remains in the tank to rest until the moment of draft. For the reserve base the assembly is a selection of the best tubs. It remains on the yeasts for 60 months. After disgorgement, the wine rests for at least 3 months.

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are on the hills on the slopes of the Lessini Mountains, in an area that is ventilated, sunny and favorable for viticulture also due to the volcanic soils.

The Production Area of Monti Lessini DOC wine is located between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza.

The main vine is Durella, a native variety of the area, a white berry with a winged and compact bunch. The name derives from the hardness and resistance of the skin and the high total acidity that characterizes the wine and determines its longevity.

There are also Chardonnay and Pinot Noir which have demonstrated a vocation for these climates and soils.

Interesting and less well-known is Durello Passito, a sweet wine obtained with the classic drying of Durella grapes in fruit cellars for a few months. However, the olfactory profile and above all the taste define a very atypical wine. The Durella vine, thanks to its important acidity, defines a very original wine where sweetness and freshness coexist.

CELLAR

Diletta Tonello is a young and dynamic winemaker from Vicenza. With energy and passion he took the reins of the company founded by his father Antonio in the 1980s, which today has a 12-hectare vineyard worked with extreme care.

The winery is located at the foot of the Lessini Mountains and the vineyards have their roots on volcanic soils, between the provinces of Vicenza and Verona.+

With great skill Diletta Tonello was able to give voice to her grapes, particularly Durella and Garganega, competing on various interpretations. Her passion for her territory pushed her to be the president of the Lessini Durello Wine Protection Consortium.
