NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful straw yellow;

👃🏻 the nose expresses delicate fruity scents, especially of white apple and citrus fruits;

👄 on the palate it is savoury, harmonious, soft and fine; the finish is intense and persistent.

FOOD PAIRINGS

A very drinkable white, mineral and elegant, to be paired with shellfish, seafood or vegetable dishes. For a vegan option, try it with onion soup.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

The blending of chardonnay grapes with other indigenous grapes is carried out with the aim of balancing their acidity, enhancing the aromatic aspects in their varietal freshness. The result of this union is a soft and complex white, with a good sapidity given by the volcanic terroir.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its freshness, fragrance and character.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

Etna is a wine region that offers unique wines.
Thousands of years of mighty eruptions, complex transformations, and volcanic events that are still active today, have made the soil that hosts the vine the unifying product of that exclusive and unparalleled complexity that has become the founding heritage of a wine that is increasingly famous throughout the world. In the Etna zone, there are substantial microclimatic differences between one area and another of the volcano, due to the particular position of Etna and its morphology. The territory, the microclimate, the volcanic soil rich in minerals, together with the peculiarity of the native vines, favour the production of unique wines.
Etna wine, in fact, was the first Sicilian table wine to obtain the Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) recognition.

WINERY

Etna: a great territory of great wines, under the eye of the storm for the explosion on national and international markets of its excellent wines. The winery is located in Sicily, a stone's throw from the sea, but we are actually in the mountains above a volcano, at an altitude of 800 metres.
All these elements make the palate go crazy and the same emotion is communicated by the centuries-old vineyards that climb up to the slopes of the volcano. Murgo has always believed in the sparkling wine potential of this great terroir! In 1981, Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo decided to transform the family's land holdings into modern farms, and in the following years his sons and brothers also joined the venture. In 1982 the first Etna Rosso was bottled and in 1990 the first Metodo Classico Murgo Brut sparkling wine. Today, Murgo is the reference point for classic methods in the entire area, but also a stylistic expression capable of transcending regional borders.

Non male

Buono, anche se leggendo l'etichetta forse avevo delle aspettative leggermente più alte.
