NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 Brilliant straw yellow;

👃🏻 the nose is refined and broad. The minerality emerges like a sea breeze, with notes of broom, white melon, pineapple, hazelnut and Mediterranean scrub;

👄 in the mouth it is very fresh and tasty, and closes long on iodine notes.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATION

A concentrated and rich Fiano di Avellino, which pairs well with tasty and fragrant dishes. Perfect with fish, shellfish or white meat dishes.

REFINEMENT

100% Fiano carefully harvested in mid-September. The grapes ferment in steel; the wine matures partly in steel and 15% in exhausted barriques, partially carrying out the malolactic fermentation. Only 2000 bottles produced per year.

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

The climate is temperate with notable differences in temperature and rainfall even within a few kilometres.

The province of Avellino stands out from the other provinces of Campania for the presence of three of the four DOCGs in the region.

Fiano di Avellino DOCG is dedicated to wines obtained from the vinification of grapes from the Fiano, Greco, Coda di Volpe and Trebbiano Toscano vines. The wines of the Greco di Tufo DOCG, the most famous in the area, are obtained from Greco and Coda di Volpe, in the still white and sparkling types. With Aglianico alone we obtain the Taurasi DOCG wine, known as the "Barolo of the south" due to its predisposition to aging. The reserve type requires maturation for four years, of which at least 18 months in wooden barrels. The only DOC present in the province of Avellino is the Irpinia DOC, while the IGT is the regional denomination Campania IGT.

CELLAR

Morigerati is a project by Bruno De Conciliis and some of his partners that began in 2010, when the perfect terroir was identified to create an altitude Fiano that contained the essence of the sea depths.

There are 4 vineyards: Vigna Serena has just 1.5 hectares of sandy soil which gives flavor to the wine; Vigna Nuova Alta is the plot with a prevalence of clay, responsible for structure and depth in the sip; Vigna Nuova enjoys excellent temperature variations, responsible for the aroma of the wine; Vigna Segreta is a small piece of land stolen from the woods, rich in limestone which gives Invitta elegance and power.

We are talking about 4 well-kept organically cultivated hectares located between 600 and 800 meters above the sea, with decidedly different soil and climate characteristics, all cultivated in Fiano.
