👁 of a beautiful intense pale yellow with golden reflections.

👃🏻 aromatic par excellence, the nose expresses intense aromas with an excellent fruity bouquet of ripe apple, pear, mango and passion fruit.

👄 on the palate it is soft and perfectly balanced between softness and hardness. It closes with a very pleasant flavor.

FOOD PAIRINGS

This Riesling has great versatility and excellent ageing potential. It loves food with great freshness and medium structure, especially second courses based on fish and white meats.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

Rheingau Riesling Trocken QbA “Hargardun” is produced with Riesling grapes from vines over 40 years old. After manual harvesting, the grapes are subjected to maceration on the grapes for 24 hours before alcoholic fermentation, which lasts for 5 months in wooden containers. The refinement is carried out in large barrels for at least 8 months. An excellent white of great strength and intensity, capable of expressing the full potential of a great variety such as Riesling in its chosen land.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its minerality and elegance.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Rheingau, west of Frankfurt where the soils are rich in clays, quartzite, marls: this is the cradle of riesling, a vine that occupies 80% of the vineyards, which gives great qualitative results thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and benefits effects of the Rhine. The wines of the area express aromas of fruit and flowers, round and with good body, balanced in their well-balanced acidity. The second grape of the region is instead a red berried one, the Spätburgunder, from which spicy wines and the final hint of bitter almond are born.

WINERY

Hellgarten, a small German village located in the Rheingau area, is the place where the wines of the Bibo Runge winery are born. It was founded in 2013 by Walter Bibo and Markus Bonsels, both sharing a great passion for wine, with important experiences gained in other wineries in the area. The Rheingau is characterized by the Rhine river which, in addition to creating a beautiful landscape, contributes to the uniqueness of the microclimate, influencing the ripening of the grapes. The philosophy of Bibo Runge is centered on a fundamental principle: patience. To achieve the highest quality possible, long macerations are carried out on the skins, followed by prolonged fermentation and ageing in wood. Riesling, the only grape variety grown by the company, is thus enhanced in different versions starting from the "trocken", the one with the lowest residual sugar, up to the fascinating Rheingau Riesling Spätlese QbA "Winkeler Hasensprung", from late harvested grapes. Bibo Runge also produces a Classic Method sparkling wine, again from Riesling grapes, with a maturation on the lees for 18 months. The wines mature in ancient cellars located in the heart of Hellgarten, a town that boasts over 900 winemaking history. Bibo Runge is synonymous with wines with a strong character, capable of reflecting in the glass all the complexity of the grapes and the grandeur of a territory that is unique in the world.
