NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful greenish yellow with golden hues and fine perlage;

👃🏻 an aroma of dried and citrus fruit emerges on the nose, well completed by notes of peach;

👄 in the mouth it reveals a very direct, fresh and mineral wine, with a sip dominated by the citrus note and a soft, savory and very pleasant finish. A sparkling wine with an extraordinary drinkability: very pleasant.

 

FOOD PAIRINGS

This sparkling Ribolla Gialla is a combination of freshness and fragrance, with excellent flavor. It prefers dishes that are not too structured. 

A glass should be drunk alone, while it is perfect paired with raw fish, but also with fried fish such as sardines.

 
WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

This Ribolla gialla 100%, grown in the Goriška Brda region, after harvesting and careful selection of the bunches is produced with the Charmat Method: soft pressure with a pneumatic press, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and static decantation of the must. The wine ages at least for 36 months in bottle on the lees.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in the Goriška Brda region of Slovenia. This Primorje sub-region produces a series of wines known all over the world for their distinction and class. A must for anyone visiting the wine region are its superb wines. This is the Slovenian Collio, characterized by soils composed of the famous ponca, a mixture of marl and sandstone. Rebula (Slovenian Rebula, yellow and green) is mainly produced here. The refinement and scope of Goriška Brda are due to the grape varieties, climate and savoir faire of the area's winemakers. These elements define a style of wine that is not found anywhere else in Slovenia and in the world.

WINERY

We are in the eastern part of the Goriška Brda region, a territory between Slovenia and Italy, in the Collio. The vineyards of the winery are 260 meters above sea level. Today's image of the winery is the result of a hard, honest and sincere activity, and above all of respect for nature and love for the land and for wine. It is a young family-run winery (active since 1988): the spouses Vojko and Patricija are at work, together with their children Jakob and Gregor. The peculiarity is the production of sparkling wines, which is very special and very rare in the area.
