NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful deep golden yellow, tending towards orange;

👃🏻 intense and complex aromas of flowers and fruit emerge on the nose, with a finish reminiscent of spices and herbs

👄 on the palate it has good acidity, elegance, and a pleasant mineral trail.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Fuorilinea is a very special orange wine. It expresses interesting and complex fruit notes and has great structure. This is why we can pair it with many dishes with character, including turmeric chicken.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

Produced with lengthy maceration on the skins, according to the practices brought to Italy by Josko Granver, a well-known Friulian producer: these wines are understood as belonging to another category, intermediate between whites and reds. Fermentation and maceration take place in amphora, followed by ageing for two years in barriques, cement and steel.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its complexity.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in the Colli Picentini terroir, in the province of Salerno. This territory is extremely interesting from a viticultural point of view: within the protected area are some of the most important wineries in Campania. Wineries that in the space of a few years have achieved international renown and an important level of quality. The vegetation plays a crucial role in the ecosystem, in fact Monte Tuoro, in the highest part, is characterised by the dominant presence of beech trees, while as one descends, chestnut trees, turkey oaks and mountain maples make their way in. Another aspect that is not secondary is the presence of numerous springs that give rise to watercourses that for the most part flow down into the valley. The vines, therefore, blend into this environment and reap all the benefits.

WINERY

Lunarossa is the small winery in Campania that, by combining loyalty to tradition with a relentless and innovative desire to experiment, is introducing the world to the great terroir of the Picentini Mountains in the Salerno area: a vast regional park in the Apennines of Campania, with two WWF-protected oases. Lunarossa's vineyards and winery are located in this beautiful area, situated inland but influenced by the sea breezes of the nearby Gulf of Salerno and safeguarded with great love and care according to the principles of environmentally friendly wine production. Mario Mazzitelli is the owner and winemaker of Lunarossa, aided by oenologist Fortunato Sebastiano, whose contribution is instrumental in achieving the high quality standards. The mission is to valorise indigenous vines, Fiano and Aglianico above all, not sparing experimentation with international vines and seeking new ways of vinification (including maceration on the skins and ageing in amphora). The wines of the Lunarossa cellar express passion, enthusiasm and creativity.
