NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful straw yellow with perlage end;

👃🏻 on the nose it stands out for its intense bouquet : from fruity notes (white peach, delicate citrus nuances), to hints of chamomile and acacia;

RECOMMENDED COMBINATION

Obtained from a grape of absolute interest such as Grechetto Gentile, this Classic Method is perfect throughout the meal: from the aperitif of cured meats to the second course of fish.

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are in the province of Bologna, which includes territories of high vocation, which give life to designations of origin and types of wine of absolute interest. Therefore: Colli Bolognesi Classico Pignoletto DOCG, dedicated to wines produced from grapes of the Pignoletto vine for at least 95%, produced in the foothills and mid-hill area between the Val Samoggia valley and the valley of the Reno river and the smaller ones of the Samoggia, Lavino and Idice streams, between the provinces of Bologna and Modena. The Colli Bolognesi DOC includes various types of white and red wines, produced from local or international vines. Then: Colli d'Imola DOC, with red wines based on Sangiovese, with Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the white wines are produced from Pignoletto and Chardonnay.

Furthermore: Reno DOC, shared with the province of Modena, with white wines from the Montù, Pignoletto, Albana and Trebbiano Romagnolo vines. And finally: Bianco di Castelfranco Emilia IGT, Rubicone IGT and Emilia IGT.

CELLAR

The Lodi Corazza family has been involved in agriculture since the eighteenth century and has been producing wine since the end of the following century.

Even today it produces with respect for the territory and its biodiversity, according to integrated agriculture. The current production cellar was designed in 1988 by the same engineer. Corrado Corazza. Over the years, the Lodi Corazza winery has always remained family-run and has never discarded the concrete containers due to their thermal capacity and healthiness. Wood is only used on wines with a structure that improves with ageing. Stainless steel is used only for the secondary fermentation of musts.

The vineyard is 18 hectares, included in the DOC Colli Bolognesi area: over half of the vineyards have been replanted using ancient clones present on the company, such as Pignoletto, Barbera Piccolo, Sauvignon and Merlot. Weeding is mechanical, without the use of chemical herbicides and the harvest is completely manual, and the winemaking is carried out according to tradition and with great care.
