NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIER

👁 straw yellow colour, with greenish hues, with fine Perlage;

👃🏻 on the nose, it expresses a lovely fruity bouquet, mainly focused on notes of peach, pineapple and grapefruit, passion fruit with a finish reminiscent of bread crust;

👄 on the palate it is fresh, soft and assertive, always playing on the fruity notes; good body, fresh and persistent.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Cuvee Resèrve Extra Brut is a very versatile sparkling wine, it can be paired perfectly with both seafood dishes and grilled white meats accompanied by not too structured sauces.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

A blend of pinot noir and chardonnay harvested by hand in the vineyards near Mendoza. After transporting the grapes to the winery and the first basic fermentation, the second takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico rules. The must is extracted with a pneumatic press in a single pressing process. It is then cooled to 2°C for 24 hours. 24 months of ageing on fine lees.

YOU WILL LOVE IT...

its intensity.

TERROIR OF ORIGIN

TERROIR

We are in Argentina, in Mendoza, the largest wine-growing area in Argentina. This area is in fact the centre of Argentina's wine industry, producing 70% of the country's wines, about 1000 km west of Buenos Aires. The most cultivated grape variety is Malbec, which gives wines with deep colours, red fruit aromas, herbaceous and spicy notes and a good tannic structure. Other black grape varieties in the region are cabernet sauvignon, syrah, pinot noir, tempranillo and bonarda. For the white varieties, chenin blanc, torrontés, chardonnay and riesling are cultivated. The climate is hot and dry, and rainfall is scarce. The soils are mostly of alluvial, morainic and volcanic origin, tending to be clayey-loamy and fairly fertile.

WINERY

Bodega Cruzat is a winery specialising in the production of quality sparkling wines. Founded in 2004 by a group of Chilean entrepreneurs together with the famous oenologist Pedro Rosell, it immediately pursued the goal of producing fine sparkling wines that would enhance the potential of the ancient wine region of Perdriel, south of the Rio Mendoza, at the foot of the Cordón del Plata. Led by Rosell, a great name in Argentinean oenology and a pupil of Émile Peynaud, Cruzat has the merit of acting as a driving force in the classic method sector for the entire Mendoza region, exporting its products, now recognised by all as synonymous with quality and originality, all over the world.
