NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS
👁 of a beautiful yellow with pink nuances and fine and persistent perlage;
👃🏻 to the nose it expresses delicate floral and fruity scents of hawthorn, pear and apple;
👄 on the palate it is enveloping and delicate, well balanced with good minerality.
A fragrant wine, which loves fresh and light dishes. Excellent as an aperitif with snacks and more generally with dishes that are not too elaborate or tasty.
WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT
The "Cuvée A" of the Mola winery is a Brut Millesimato sparkling wine obtained from 100% Aleatico. Processed according to the rules of the Charmat method, it rests for four months on the yeasts in steel, and is bottled in the June following the harvest. Easy, smooth and immediate, it is characterized by fruit and freshness, and then also by a pleasant flavor that the climate and soils of the island of Elba release to the Aleatico bunches.
YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...
its fragrance and finesse.
We are on the beautiful Elba Island, an area of 300 hectares of vineyards that in recent years has managed to find an important place in Italian viticulture.
It has a very long history linked to wine production since the time of the Etruscans. The discovery of many artifacts also from the Greek and Roman period, many of which suitable for the conservation and transport of wine, attests that in ancient times, in addition to abundant production, trade was also very flourishing.
The island is characterized by a Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and a clayey-sandy soil that favors an optimal condition of ripening of the grapes. Elba Aleatico Passito DOCG is the testimonial of the island, with intriguing aromas of jelly, blackberry and berries, red flowers and sweet spices and a beautiful structure that makes it perfect in combination with chocolate and hazelnut desserts or as a wine for meditation.
Mola is a Tuscan farm that was born in the fascinating context of the island of Elba; the winery is located in the plain and hills of the homonymous locality, located between the municipalities of Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri, a short distance from the sea. The agricultural activity of the Mola winery was started in 1956 by the Pavoletti family, very enterprising in the wine sector, already owner of a wine business in the renowned territory of Bolgheri, with the Poggio alle Querce estate.
The winery produces bottles starting from the typical varieties of the island; since 1994 it has implemented a process of renewal of the vineyards, planting characteristic varieties of the Elba Island, which give life to white, red and passito wines, all labeled with the local Elba DOC brand.
In its 10 hectares of owned vineyards arranged in 4 different areas, the winery cultivates varieties such as Sangiovese, Aleatico and Cabernet Sauvignon as regards the red grape, while among the white varieties it grows Procanico, Vermentino, Trebbiano, Malvasia and Ansonica.

non mi ha convinta questa bollicina toscana: seppure intrigante al naso, in bocca lascia un retrogusto lievemente amarognolo che non sono riuscita ad apprezzare
