NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful ruby red;

👃🏻 the nose is expressive, spicy, with notes of ripe red and black fruits, cherry and blackcurrant above all;

👄 on the palate it is fresh, with beautiful fruity returns and silky tannins. Very pleasant to drink.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATION

Typical Bordeaux blend. A glass should be drunk alone, while it finds a perfect marriage with local cured meats and cheeses with rich flavors. Try it with entrecôte bordelaise, which is endowed with succulence because the meat is seared and then served with a rich sauce made from Bordeaux wine, butter, shallots, aromatic herbs and bone marrow.

REFINEMENT

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

We are in the Bordeaux area, one of the most important wine territories in the world. Bordeaux not only reaches qualitative heights that make you lose your mind, but since time immemorial it has kept those results constant, year after year, with the makings of champions. Bordeaux benefits from its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. The climate is maritime: mild winters, cool summers, abundant rainfall but very well absorbed by the soil rich in stones , gravel and sediments .
The soils are very variable on the surface, not particularly fertile and covered by a thin layer covered in gravel, while the deeper layers are very rich in minerals . Specifically: the Médoc area is gravelly in the Haut-Médoc, particularly in the Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe appellations. The crus classés are located on peaks, small hills separated by small streams perpendicular to the Gironde which have filled, over the millennia, with sand and sediments less suitable for viticulture. The peaks are made up of pebbles and gravel cemented by clay-rich sands, increasingly clay-rich from south to north.
The Sauternes area, on the other hand, is located on limestone rich in fossils , largely covered by Quaternary alluvial deposits that form gently sloping terraces. Barsac, a flatter area, is an exception, as the soil is dotted with limestone due to erosion. While the Graves area takes its name from the dominant soil type, gravel . These deposits of gravel and pebbles, often mixed with sand and clay , are deposited by the Garonne. They form a succession of gently sloping terraces, which increase in age as they move away from the river. As in the Médoc, valleys have formed which create several peaks. The north of this area is higher quality than the south, with incredibly rich gravel.

CELLAR

Domaine de Brondeau Lalande is located in Pompignac and is led by Thierry Guimberteau. Belonging to the tenth generation of winemakers in his Guimberteau family, he produces quality wines, guided by his taste. Passionate, he has always avoided any form of standardization in the 7 hectares of vineyards he owns, characterized by very well exposed vineyards. This aspect, combined with the fact that the soils are rich and deep, favors quality maturation.

The vines are on average 40 years old and are typical of Bordeaux: around 65% Merlot is grown, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. During harvest time, harvesting is semi-manual and manual for some plots.

Maximum care in the cellar for the three labels produced, all Bordeaux Supérieur.

ottimo vino, profumato di frutti rossi, speziato, caldo e avvolgente seppur con una certa astringenza che non mi dispiace. È il mio primo blend bordolese e mi sembra di essere partita bene!
