NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS
👁 a beautiful light straw yellow;
👃🏻 on the nose the aromas are very refined, especially fruity (broom, jasmine, lily of the valley);
👄 on the palate it is medium structure, tasty and fresh. Very pleasant.
Excellent in combination with seafood appetizers and fish risottos, and also goes well with vegetable-based dishes.
From vineyards grown on medium-textured soils of volcanic origin, in one of the most suitable areas of the Bonassola hills, on the Ligurian coast. The must obtained from the direct pressing of the grapes is decanted, then only the clear part ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...
its immediate drinking.
TERRITORY OF ORIGIN
The company is located in Liguria, in Bonassola, in the La Spezia area, in the province of La Spezia. The climate is Mediterranean, with strong daily and seasonal temperature variations, which favorably affect the aromatic composition of the grapes. The vineyards rise from sea level to over 500-600 meters, where, even on the hottest days, the humidity is mitigated by cool sea breezes, which significantly limit fungal attacks on the grapes. The soils rich in limestone of the western side offer good wines minerality , while those clayey of the eastern one they confer structure And softness . The cultivated vines are above all albarola , forest , ciliegiolo , sangiovese And vermentino .
The Cà du Ferrà winery is located in Bonassola, in the province of La Spezia; the vineyards, on the famous terraces of the region, are cultivated in rows and pergolas, all facing south at 400 meters above sea level: they face the sea and are spread over 4 hectares divided into 4 different villages, including Bonassola, Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Levanto, also passing through the Cinque Terre National Park.
The winery was founded in the hills of Levanto by the will of Antonio Zoppi, originally from Bonassola, and Aida Forgione, of Campania origin, who together with their son Davide manage this winery immersed in the green hills of the East, where viticulture is truly a difficult undertaking . The vineyards in the Riomaggiore area can only be reached by monorail, the characteristic train introduced in these lands in the 1980s to make viticulture slightly more practicable.
The vines and lands of Cà du Ferrà are located on steep slopes, overlooking the sea: viticulture is decidedly heroic . The cultivations of Cà du Ferrà extend over the hills of Levanto and overlook the sea, benefiting from a climate incredible , made of constant sun and a tireless sea breeze that cradles the bunches and makes them healthy grapes And lands , guaranteeing wines of high quality .
