NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 of a beautiful deep pale yellow with golden reflections;

👃🏻 on the nose it expresses complexity and richness of aromas, ranging from ripe fruit to broom flowers to light spicy notes;

👄 on the palate it is very pleasant, well balanced, full-bodied, with a finish that invites the next sip.

FOOD PAIRINGS

The Natissa Bianco is an intense, complex, fresh and savory wine. Its versatility makes it perfect with food that have a slight bitter tendency, greasiness and succulence. We recommend it with fish appetizers, white meats, creamed risottos and baked fish.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

It comes from the manual harvesting of the best Friulian and Istrian Malvasia grapes vinified separately. The first is aged in steel, the second in wood for 3 months, then assembled. The crushing-destemming is soft, while the alcoholic fermentation is at a controlled temperature. Refinement follows, again in steel.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR...

its versatility, complexity and intensity.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

The winery is located in Friuli Venezia Giulia. This region is characterized by versatility in climates and soils and is known throughout the world for the production of great white wines. Specifically, Obiz is located in the Aquileia area, whose main characteristic is that of having an incredible variability of type of soils, even in the same plot, alternating gravel veins with yellowish marl and darker clays mixed with sand a few meters away.
This guarantees great complexity and quality in the grapes and to the wine in the glass. The area owes its formation to the accumulation of materials during the Quaternary glaciations; in particular, the northern part is rich in skeleton, while in the southern part the finer materials such as clay, marl, sand and sandstone flowed from the hills above.

WINERY

In Friuli Venezia Giulia coexist social wineries, large and well-known wineries together with small companies that passionately guard their vineyards. Obiz belongs to the latter category. A few km from the sea, it is one of the most dynamic realities of the coast, with vineyards in different parcels and different soils. 40 hectares of vineyards conducted in compliance with environmental protection, applying integrated pest management. Obiz has set itself the mission of enhancing the native Friulians. It produces wines with straightforward and immediate aromas, balanced and pleasantly harmonious, which conquer for their freshness and notes that clearly recall the sea.
