NOTES FROM OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 a beautiful deep straw yellow;

👃🏻 the nose expresses a fruity bouquet (apple and apricot), enchanting with citrus hints, while the finish is vanilla;

👄 on the palate it is round and fresh. The taste-olfactory balance is excellent, as is the acidity.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATION

A Chardonnay with character, unmistakable and versatile. Thanks to its taste-olfactory intensity it can be paired with grilled fish, prawns, grilled poultry or roast beef. Among the cheeses, try it with goat's cheese.

REFINEMENT

Pure Chardonnay from 40 year old grapes, harvested by hand. The grapes are pressed directly after harvesting and the juice passes into stainless steel tanks to settle the must (drawing off). Fermentation lasts 20 days at low temperature to maintain the freshness of the fruit. The wine is placed 1/3 in barriques and 2/3 in stainless steel tanks and ages for 6-7 months before being blended.

TERRITORY OF ORIGIN:

TERROR

We are in the central-eastern area of France, south of Burgundy and north of the city of Lyon. Gamay Noir represents 98% of Beaujolais production with a small percentage of Chardonnay for white wines.

The region is known for its long winemaking tradition. Although administratively considered a part of the Burgundy wine region the climate is more similar to that of the Rhône Valley and the wine is so unique that it is considered independently of both Burgundy and the Côtes du Rhône.

There are 12 denominations in the region, with 10 Crus.

CELLAR

Domaine de Briante works vineyards owned by the Faupin family.

The territories are those of Beaujolais, divided mainly into the Crus of Brouilly and Moulin-a-Vent.

The company is part of the independent French winemakers and produces strongly territorial wines, which well represent the essence of the region, from Gamay grapes of incredible depth and longevity. The production of whites from Chardonnay is also interesting. All in a small vineyard of 12 hectares of vineyards, very well looked after.
