TERRITORY OF ORIGIN

TERROR

The company is located in Loazzolo, in the province of Asti in the Alta Langa heritage area UNESCO 2014 . It is a land of ancient winemaking traditions, where wine was known well before the arrival of the Roman conqueror. It is an area very suitable for the cultivation of pinot black and chardonnay and over the years it has managed to release classic method and charmat sparkling wines known on the national and international scene. The Alta Langa, on the other hand, is located further south and has hills that are significantly steeper and reach up to 750 metres. Here, Alta Langa, Moscato and Barbera and also Timorasso are produced. The lands of the Langhe are composed of marl clay - calcareous sedimentary, intercalated with layers of marl grey-blue in colour, an important characteristic for producing both full-bodied red wines and fresh, fragrant bubbles. The Langhe area is characterized by a temperate continental climate, with the peak of rainfall generally set during the month of May.

CELLAR

The company is located in Loazzolo, in the province of Asti. The winery's logo is represented by the image of the wolf, present in the coat of arms of the Municipality of Loazzolo. The farm extends over 60 hectares, of which 31 are vineyards. The toponym "Loazzolo" derives from the Latin "Lupatolium", or the place where wolves roam, the ancient Latin name of Loazzolo. And a Rio dei lupi flows right next to Cascina Pianbello: here, the Cirio family, which boasts years of an intimately peasant history dedicated to the production of quality wine, makes the most of the exceptional resources that these lands offer, producing for two generations the typical wines of the Asti Langa and Canelli.
The Pianbello company's grape production systems are traditional and are based on ancient knowledge and experience, with viticultural processes that respect the criteria of maximum quality .
