NOTES BY OUR SOMMELIERS

👁 characterised by an intense golden yellow colour;

👃🏻 it expresses a fruity bouquet (ripe yellow fruit), then dry fruit emerges (walnuts and almonds) and finally yeast, bread crust and vanilla.

👄 the taste is dry, savoury, pleasantly tannic, intense and persistent;

FOOD PAIRINGS

This blend of autochthonous Campania grapes represents the highest expression of its territoriality. It is a fresh and savoury wine, therefore it goes well with soft dishes with a not too marked intensity.
It is excellent with white meat or fish dishes. We absolutely recommend it with tagliolini allo scoglio.

WINE-MAKING AND REFINEMENT

This Sannio Bianco DOC comes from the grapes of three autochthonous Campania vines harvested on the volcanic soils of the Benevento area. After a soft pressing it ferments in steel tanks at controlled temperature. It is a young and ready to drink wine, but also very elegant and dynamic. The falanghina grapes dominate for an harmonious blend.

YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR

You will love it for its savouriness and the original character it expresses.

ORIGIN

TERROIR

Sannio is one of the most suitable areas for viticulture in Campania. It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, in the province of Benevento. The cultivation of vines shapes the entire landscape of the Telesina valley, which is crossed along its length by the Calore river. Despite the proximity of the sea, the climate is cool and continental with considerable temperature differences between day and night. The wind blows almost constantly, mainly from the west or east, while the cold currents from the north are held back by the Matese mountains. The valley side climbs more gently towards the massif and even more steeply towards Taburno. The vineyards of Solopaca are in a very particular pedoclimatic position, facing north-east and north-west at an altitude of about 200 metres; the sun shines in the late morning and there is a good temperature range. The soils are mostly clayey-calcareous, with silica and sandstone; on the plains, the soils are mainly of alluvial origin, while on the slopes of the mountains, the presence of white calcareous stones increases. However, there are also areas where the signs of a primordial volcanic activity are evident with traces of tuff banks, as in the Vitulanese, Telesina and Galdina areas.

WINERY

The Antica Masseria Venditti is a family-run farm whose structure, with its own wine press, dates back as far as the 16th century. The wines produced (from certified organic agriculture) are among the best of Campania's oenology, partly because the Venditti family, generation after generation, have always carefully cultivated their own vines, vinified their own grapes and aged their products in their own cellar, with diligence, passion and the desire to improve quality.

Over the years, they have been able to embrace modernity by combining the "humanity" of ancient knowledge with the "rationality" of modern technology.
