ORIGIN

TERROIR

The winery is set in Irpinia, a terrtitory characterized by a heterogeneous landscape variety, designed by mountains, hills, valleys and plateaus. The territory has a strong and unique identity in the world due to the peculiarities of the subsoil and the climatic conditions. Following the powerful eruption of Vesuvius several thousand years ago, pyroclastic materials transported by strong winds settle on the territory of Irpinia, giving rise to a thick layer of volcanic materials, which consolidated over the centuries.Today, the Irpinia terroir has a great wealth of mineral micronutrients. More superficial layers are formed by stratified limestones, while the hills and valleys are made up of deposits of arenaceous and clayey materials. The soils show above all a well-balanced texture, free of clay, with frequent stoniness. The Mediterranean climate gives the territory cold and humid winters and hot summers, with strong temperature variations between day and night.

The balance between climate, vine and soil is perfect. A balance that has become more and more harmonious over the centuries, giving life to wines with excellent characteristics, which are characterized by aromatic complexity, a velvety, full and elegant taste, intense and delicate aromas.

WINERY

The winery is located in Montemiletto, in the province of Avellino. The philosophy of the Estate is based on the productive choice to use: it makes the most of the grapes from its vineyards starting from the certainty that they are planted on exceptionally suitable soils and in the belief that quality comes first in the vineyard.

They work in compliance with the "terroir", understood as the indissoluble interaction between pedoclimatic factors, planted vines, human intervention through updated cultivation systems, modern winemaking techniques and traditional methods of aging in the cellar, represents the only viable path to strive for the highest quality.

The line of wines is entirely built around the Irpinia, indigenous and regional vines, whose characteristics are above all freshness, body and aromas. The careful choice of soils suited for position, exposure, altitude, soil composition and slope allows the winery to obtain grapes of excellent quality, vinified in purity in order to express the characteristics that make them unique and from them produce wines animated by the desire for excite.
