We are in the Cembra Valley: in this beautiful valley, in a unique terroir, we produce our extreme wines. In Piana Rotaliana, however, we grow Teroldego, an indigenous vine, the first DOC and the prince of Trentino wines, Lagrein and Pinot Grigio: three varieties that best express their characteristics here.
In our work, we are guided by the constant desire to innovate, the passion for viticulture, determination and care, as well as pride for our territory, from the vineyard terraces of the Cembra Valley to the regular fields of the Piana Rotaliana.
Villa Corniole is the family project that starts in the vineyard and continues in the mountain cellar, where we vinify our grapes harvested in the vineyards in Val di Cembra and Piana Rotaliana, to obtain unique and elegant wines with a strong connection with the territory.
Ours are mountain wines that have within them the sign of a unique terroir enhanced by the extreme climate: they need to evolve slowly to express and maintain their potential and organoleptic characteristics over time. They are Müller Thurgau first and foremost, symbol of mountain wines, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Spumante Trentodoc and Teroldego.
For us, sustainability means transferring to the new generations a company and a territory that are not impoverished, but still full of natural and human resources. We harvest the grapes by hand, respecting the environment and winemaking tradition. We combine a healthy and environmentally friendly approach, in the best agricultural tradition, with research and technology.
The cellar, partly underground, allows significant energy savings thanks to the natural temperature and humidification of the barrel cellar. The recently installed photovoltaic panels produce most of the energy needed in the cellar during the year.
The barrel cellar is a magical place , dug into the porphyry rock of the Cembra Valley. Here the wines of Villa Corniole rest with the right calm, at a controlled and constant temperature, without forcing.
