Our story begins with Mas Picol , three hectares of vineyard purchased in the 1950s by my father-in-law, Dr. doctor-dentist Mario Seppi. Mas Picol was the nickname given to the property by the people of the town and we used it to christen our Teroldego, so as not to forget where we started . Currently Maso Belvedere extends for 8 hectares on the Faedo fan, immediately upstream from San Michele all'Adige with its Agricultural Institute. The company's oldest vineyards have their roots here, a Lagrein vineyard from the early seventies, with which we produce the Trentino DOC Lagrein Riserva “Mansum” , a wine with great structure obtained through traditional red vinification, with the bloodletting technique, and refinement in barrique for one year and one year in the bottle. The Müller-Thurgau instead grows at 600 meters above sea level, in the Valle dei Laghi, between Garda and the Brenta Dolomites, in the vineyard called "San Lorenz" on the bushes overlooking Lake Cavedine, the town where I was born. The high altitude gives freshness and the calcareous soil gives aromas: fruity notes where peach stands out, vegetal hints close to sage. We try to preserve the land as much as possible through the practice of organic farming and we naturally increase its fertility with the green manure technique. In order for the vineyard to grow in balance, we dedicate daily attention to it and aim for a low yield per hectare, the only way to quality . We harvest the grapes after tasting the berries and vinify them by transferring our terroir into the bottle.
