Michele and Paolo Dorigati - Trentino Alto Adige

The Dorigati winery was founded in 1858 in Mezzocorona by Luigi Dorigati, our great-great-grandfather. For over 160 years we have been cultivating and vinifying Teroldego in Piana Rotaliana, pursuing qualitative objectives consistent with the vine and the territory that surrounds us. The Teroldego Rotaliano DOC is the smallest and oldest DOC in Trentino Alto Adige, introduced in 1971, covering only 440 hectares. Its characterization is mainly pedological: the soil is alluvial, due to the flooding of the Noce stream which for thousands of years has poured out sandy and pebbly material, creating a very draining layer, excellent for the cultivation of vines and for the production of quality grapes. The presence of high mountains surrounding the Plain does the rest, guaranteeing significant temperature changes between day and night. Teroldego Rotaliano 2017 is our most representative wine, the result of the vinification of 5 different vineyards in Campo Rotaliano. It is aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. It clearly and sincerely represents the expression of the Piana Rotaliana, the Teroldego and our work . Michele and Paolo Dorigati
