We are Alessandro, Gian Carlo, Davide, Sergio and Marco: a group of friends who in 2005 founded “La Masera”, in Settimo Rottaro. Our greatest desire is to revive the production of Erbaluce Passito, which is said to have been born from the expert hands of the farmers of these lands.
“Masere” indicates i large stone walls that demarcate the fields, just like the one it supports our first land purchased to start the production of Erbaluce.
We cultivate 5 hectares of vines, among the hills of the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea, in the province of Turin, in the Canavese area: it is the typical area of the Erbaluce vine , which finds its maximum qualitative expression on these hills. Our pergola and row systems are included in the Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG; we personally take care of the winemaking (the vines treated are: Erbaluce, Barbera, Freisa, Vespolina, Nebbiolo).
The main wine it is the Erbaluce DOCG, which we carefully work into the three variations of still and sparkling wine and passito. We also produce some DOC red wines, two of which are pure, the Canavese Barbera and Canavese Nebbiolo. Completes the picture of the production rosé classic method sparkling wine.
Our philosophy is to produce wine of quality, authentic and loyal , combining the common sense inherited from grandparents with the improvements made available by technology, giving life to a product that comes from the soul , son of a unique terroir , through a simple interpretation, but full of passion and respect for territory.
