We are Daniele e Gigi: our friendship was born many years ago at school elementary. We were both born in 1982 and had a dream in drawer…produce a Franciacorta that spoke of our territory, Monte Orphan.
We are the one graduate in Viticulture and Oenology (Daniele), with experience in various areas wineries of the world; the other (Gigi) graduated as an agricultural expert and then enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture.
In June 2010, in front of a glass of Franciacorta, we fantasized about the wine we wanted to produce , as we had done many other times if we were more determined that day. Armed with good will and with the aim of making wine already in that harvest, in a very short time we began to renovate an old one farmhouse, we equipped the cellar, rented our first vineyard and we left... It's August 2010, and Corte Fusia was officially born.
In subsequent years we continued the restoration work in our company, but above all we have rented other "abandoned" vineyards on Monte Orfano. Today we have around 7 hectares in the municipalities of Coccaglio, Cologne and Rovato and we cultivate all three local vines: chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot blanc.
Inside Corte Fusia we have put all our ties with this territory and its oldest hill, which are reflected in the spirit of the wines we loved, dreamed about and then finally produced.
