The Adanti Agricultural Company is one of the historic wineries in the Montefalco area in Umbria, famous for the production of wines such as Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso.
We cultivate 40 hectares of land, of which 30 are vineyards and 10 are olive groves, in the hilly areas of Arquata and Colcimino, areas famous since ancient times for the high quality of their oil and wine.
Our company was founded in the sixties of the last century, from the intuition of Domenico Adanti, who decided to purchase the villa in Arquata to create a modern cellar aiming to produce quality wine. Thus began the renovation of the old convent of the Celestine Friars, while new vineyards were replanted.
We mainly produce red wines from native vines , such as Sagrantino di Montefalco Docg Secco and Passito, and then Montefalco Rosso Doc and Arquata Rosso dell'Umbria Igt, but also characteristic white wines such as Grechetto dei Colli Martani and Montefalco Bianco Doc .
The grapes used, mainly Sagrantino and Sangiovese, but also Cabernet, Barbera, Grechetto and Merlot, come exclusively from our own vineyards.
We are two sisters engaged in a selected production of quality wines and extra virgin olive oil : we dedicate the utmost care to each product, respecting the territory and its ancient traditions.
