Stage #10 of Sommelier Wine Box (January 2019) was led by Roberto Anesi - best AIS sommelier 2017 , who took us on a journey through Trentino wines.
Trentino wines are elegant. They have the charm of lightness, the memorability of simple things, the flavor and scent of what is created with extreme care in a unique context. We are in the northernmost region of Italy, entirely mountainous. If there is one aspect of Trentino that most characterizes it, it is the fragmentation of an intimately rural territory: in approximately 10,000 hectares of vineyards there are almost 10,000 producers. These winemakers concentrate all their talent and passion in small plots of land, creating unforgettable wines. The ones we are offering this month are mountain wines : produced with manual cultivation, the result of long maturation times of the grapes which amplify flavors and aromas, the result of meticulous attention to the vines by very small producers. The 4 wineries proposed in the January 2019 Wine Boxes are: Terre del Lagorai , Cesconi , Bellaveder and Dorigati .
