Stage #0 of Sommelier Wine Box (February 2018) was led by Enrico Fiorini , Gianluca Boninsegna and Marco Scagliero: the best AIS sommeliers in Veneto 2014, 2015 and 2016 .
They like to be called The Three Musketeers , and as the great lovers of wine that they are, they paid homage to the lower Lake Garda , with its rolling hills that create a grandiose morainic amphitheater - one of the most significant areas of wine production in the Veneto and 'Italy!
In fact, the inconsistent materials brought southwards by the two great glaciations (Riss and Würm) which affected the territory of Lake Garda (or Benaco) during the Quaternary constitute, today, excellent sediments for the cultivation of vines.
It is for this reason that white wines such as Lugana and Custoza and reds such as Bardolino (which come to life right on the shores of Lake Garda), have unique characteristics such as gentle and fresh aromas with a polite and very elegant approach to the palate , exactly as the bucolic landscape that welcomes these vines can be.
However, if Garda is the common matrix, each wine has interpreted in its own way this intimate bond with nature , forged by the passion of the winemakers who take care of it every day.
They are very gastronomic wines that prefer lake cuisine, where fish reigns supreme! Even first courses of pasta with vegetables or white ragout, however, are fascinated by the versatility of these glasses which have their common origin in Garda, but which over time have been able to interpret, each in their own way, this intimate bond between the nature, the passion and the beauty of these shores.
THIS STAGE OF SOMMELIER WINE BOX STARTED FROM THE GENEROSITY OF THE EARTH TO REACH THE ENERGY OF THE PEOPLE.
The three wineries proposed are Ancilla , Le Fraghe , San Zeno .
