Stage #23 of Sommelier Wine Box (February 2020, led by Simona Geri) was a journey to discover the great women of Italian wine .
Always pillars of agricultural companies, tireless workers, custodians of the countryside and courageous entrepreneurs, sommeliers capable of reading infinite nuances, the combination of women and wine is multifaceted. We have therefore discovered four little great stories of women who in Veneto and Sicily, in the Oltrepò Pavese and in Calabria create wines that are a profound expression of the territory and of their thoughts. A girl who at 22 years old revolutionizes the family business , infusing it with an unconditional love for the environment and beauty; two sisters who give life to their fathers' dream that remained in the drawer ; a young entrepreneur who, feeling the call of home , brings the energy to the company to build new paths and a brilliant woman, who in Menfi creates a wine as a visceral expression of belonging to a unique land . They are stories of those who know how to combine delicacy with character, energy with resilience, respect with audacity, with the obsession of making great wine.
