Sommelier Massimo Marchesi led a stage to discover "river, lake, sea: wines that have their roots in water" (Stage #20).
To guide Stage #20 of the Sommelier Wine Box (November 2019) we turned to sommelier Massimo Marchesi , who told us his story:
“The passion for wine was born in 2002, like a spark, when while sipping a glass (in this case, a Refosco) I realized in an instant that I wanted to know more about this delight that until then I had only drunk to have more fun in the evenings with friends (another very valid reason to love wine).
In 2003 I became an ONAV taster and in 2007 I started working in a wine shop in Milan. The AIS diploma arrived the following year. I taste a lot and I taste everything, convinced that a permanent and varied tasting is necessary to keep the "muscles" trained...
Today I have my hand in many wine lists in Milanese restaurants and when I can I bring little-known but extremely worthy labels to the city, like those proposed in these Boxes of mine."
