To guide Stage #0 of the Sommelier Wine Box (dedicated to the "wines of the south of Lake Garda") we turned to the best AIS sommeliers in Veneto of 2014, 2015 and 2015: The three musketeers!
Destiny led 3 people from the lower Veronese area to be awarded as the best AIS professional sommeliers in the Veneto for 3 years in a row (2014, 2015 and 2016) and they seized the opportunity: since then they have formed an inseparable trio and seem to love to do call The Three Musketeers !
They host "Una cantina per Tre", a program dedicated to wine, challenging each other on the best pairing between dish and glass, on a journey to discover the area.
For them, being a sommelier means communicating the emotions of wine with the right means, in a direct way, always linking it to the table.
What unites them? The desire to have fun around the common passion for wine, strong enough to have taken them far from their initial life path.
Their secret? The chemistry that is generated between special people, united by a healthy madness!
They led a stage to discover the wines of Lake Garda: a miracle of nature and passion , paying homage to one of the most significant areas of wine production in Veneto and Italy.
In fact, the inconsistent materials brought southwards by the glaciations that affected Lake Garda during the Quaternary constitute, today, excellent sediments for growing vines! This is why white wines like Lugana and Custoza and reds like Bardolino (which come to life on the shores of Lake Garda) have unique characteristics such as gentle and fresh aromas with a polite and elegant approach to the palate, as the bucolic landscape that welcomes these vines.
If Garda is the common matrix, each wine has interpreted this intimate bond with nature in its own way, forged by the passion of the winemakers who take care of it every day.
