Engineer, gastronome and sommelier To guide Stage #5 of the Sommelier Wine Box (dedicated to the "border Veneto") we turned to the experience of Enrico Ulisse Avanzi : engineer, gastronome and sommelier! Civil hydraulic engineer, Sommelier and Speaker of the Italian Sommelier Association since 1999. Official taster and course director, he holds lessons, among others, on European and French viticulture, sparkling wines, dessert wines, fortified wines, flavoured, late harvest, icewine... For him, wine is always associated with food. He edits the blog Vino Cucina Engineering and enjoys food and wine consultancy, offering his recipes at restaurants and associations and studying their wine list. He is an expert in classic pairings but also has a passion for oriental cuisine. In this sense he should certainly be considered a pioneer .
