CRISTINA MERCURI, Wine Educator and Consultant, led us to discover the REDS OF TRENTINO

To guide Stage #34 of the Sommelier Wine Box (January 2021) we turned to a great sommelier: Cristina Mercuri.

Here is his story: «As a little more than a teenager, a TV program instilled in me a curiosity for wine: its aromas, fermentation techniques, chemical compositions... Life then took its course, between graduating in law and the start of a challenging legal career. But that curiosity remains inside me and first I become a sommelier, then I decide to leave everything to dedicate myself to wine. So I change my life, with determination and a lot of study.

Today I am a Wine Educator and among the 10,000 people in the world with the WSET diploma, with long experience in Italian and foreign wines, as well as spirits; and I aim to become one of the 400 Masters of Wine in the world. My training and the courses I give have the aim of spreading a serious, international and up-to-date wine culture, which is why I focus a lot on WSET courses in Italy.

I believe in competence, determination, continuous study supported by passion.»
