Sommelier André Senoner led the stage: "from the tradition of the fathers to the innovation of the children"
To guide Stage #26 of Sommelier Wine Box (May 2020) we turned to André Senoner , who told us his story. “To guide Stage #26 of the Sommelier Wine Box (May 2020) we turned to André Senoner , a great promise in wine, born in 1992, who told us his story: “I was born in Bolzano in 1992, a difficult year for many wines in Italy: all the forces of nature are concentrated on me – let's say – and I don't come out badly...
I am from Val Gardena, in the heart of the calm Dolomites, a land more of skiers than men of wine. But I am passionate about this world and in 2014 I graduated as a professional sommelier, from here I began other training courses: taster, director of the AIS Alto-Adige services team and took part in the drafting of the Vitae Guide, the best wines of Italy . I also obtain the WSET Wine & Spirits Award diploma.
In the meantime, between working in great starred restaurants (including the three Michelin stars Rosa Alpina-St. Hubertus in San Cassiano in the role of Head Sommelier), I get involved with competitions! Important goals arrive such as 1st place in the Soave Trophy 2019, Best communicator of the Master Chianti Classico 2020 . Dreams for the future? I want more and I aspire to win other AIS competitions and to get on the stage of the contenders for the title of best sommelier in Italy, as well as to find a restaurant that is able to give free rein to my imagination.”
