And wines from extreme lands To guide Stage #9 of Sommelier Wine Box (December 2018) we turned to Alvaro De Anna , creator of Vini da Terre Estreme : The project was born seven years ago with the aim of enhancing the many farmers who, by working the land in the most difficult conditions, defend its biodiversity and beauty. In these lands that are difficult to cultivate, it is only the farmers' temerity that allows them to overcome environmental problems. The production here is so small that making wine becomes a real lifestyle choice: the vineyards can only be reached on foot and the processing is entirely manual... This heritage - of crops, landscapes, unique and rare wine - is tenaciously safeguarded by a few passionate winemakers , who, by safeguarding it, give us precious wines. The project aims to enhance these people and these extraordinary wines .
