The spotlight of the wine world is preparing to focus on Milan, which hosts its first Wine Week from 7 to 14 October, blessed by the inaugural toast on Saturday 6 October, to the sound of Trentodoc, in Piazza Tre Torri (City Life). Will it be a Fashion Week for winelovers?
We'll see if the first Milan Wine Week will be a Fashion Week for winelovers, that's certainly the ambition!
The wine week will have its beating heart at Palazzo Bovara - in Porta Venezia - where events, tastings, masterclasses, workshops, conferences, screenings, verticals and presentations will alternate.
But the Milan Wine Week will be a collection of many wine events: between Bottiglie Aperte (7-8 October) - this year for the first time in via Tortona - and the presentation of the Doctor Wine guide on Sunday 14th there will be something for everyone tastes: breakfast with Franciacorta, Sassicaia vertical, business forum and of course many events and tastings for all palates.
The city's participation will be decisive, because the success of the event will also be assessed by the events linked to the world of wine organized simultaneously in the most diverse locations: in the administration rooms and art galleries, in bookshops and in the most diverse sales points. The schedule is continuously updated on the site and all activities are followed in the section entitled "Day by Day".
“One of the key roles in the carrying out of the Wine Week – explains Federico Gordini, Milanese entrepreneur, creator of the MWW – will be that of the administration premises and the Milanese retail outlets gravitating in the orbit of wine, which represent the true wine offering of the city."
It is precisely on this ability to go out into the streets and involve the city on many levels that in our opinion the game of Milan Wine Week will be played: it will give the temperature of the wine world's ability to be inclusive and to be able to speak to everyone, from the experts of the sector to lovers (no less passionate!) of this magical world.
